Folic acid, also called folate, plays a very important role in preventing neural tube defects in the fetus. Folic acid is a nutrient that helps the growth and maintenance of cells.
It belongs to the vitamin B group and is essential for the normal development of the baby’s spine, brain and skull, especially during the first 4 weeks of pregnancy.
Adults: 1 tablet per day with a meal or as directed by a health care practitioner
